Antiquity II surfer wiring problem

Re: Antiquity II surfer wiring problem

Tnx for the help. I will wait for a couple of days to buy the whole set. I will report results.

Re: Antiquity II surfer wiring problem

I have both the Surfers & the Texas hots. I love them both but they are different. Can't really say which I like better, but what I would do is buy a set(you could go with a different bridge if you prefer) then take your guitar to a tech, with what you want done. Let him wire it up & be done with it. If you really don't know what you are doing inside a guitar you shouldn't be in there. this applies to me... I have a tech do all the wiring I want & need I just explain to him what I want..... simple really

Re: Antiquity II surfer wiring problem

There are no soundclips for Antiquities.

Ant1 and Ant2 sound very different, the difference is bigger than between SSL1 and APS1. The Ant1s in particular are much rounder and softer.

I found that which one works out best depends almost entirely on the particular guitar. I have to recommend trying one of each first before buying a new set.

Finally, the Custom bridge versions are quite fat and have different dynamics than regular Strat pickups. If you want a strat-strat those are not the way to go.

Re: Antiquity II surfer wiring problem

great clip already got the full set. im wiring them and even though everything works perfectly they seem slightly microphonic and when they cancel hum in the 2/4 position, they stil leave some sort of hiss with tone rolled up.

hopefuly this will be my last question, as I wired the guitar 2 times with care and patience and got the same results with my deville. is this normal?
