Does anyone have Texas Hots? I'm looking for reviews and clips. I'd be putting them in the neck and middle position of my standard fat strat.

Antiquity Texas Hots have less glass to the highs and looser bass compared to the Antiquity Surfers, which makes the Texas Hots appear to have more mids.

I have never owned a vintage Strat with vintage pickups that sound like the Texas Hots. Mine have all sounded more like the Ant Surfers.

But regardless, first time I tried a set of Texas Hots they flipped me right out! Beautiful, warm plucky tone that reminds me of SRV's smooth thick Strat tone which he achieved by detuning and using huge strings.

Great vibe too. Right out of the box they look and sound like great guitarists have been playing soulful music through them for 40 years or so!

The antiquity hots sound pretty good, just waiting for Lew to return the email I sent to him. I saw your store on ebay too, 2 for 140 looks like a pretty good deal, since I need a bucker in the bridge.
