Any demand for "J" wound Jazz Bass pickups?

I recently bought a '78 Jazz Bass that had a lot of parts replaced. The neck pickup is definitely a Duncan. The paper sticker on the bottom of the unit says 3SJ.... Anyone got their decoder ring handy? What might it bring on Squeebay?

I don't think bass players care about the person winding p'ups for'em at all.

They're simply not inclined to believe on mojo and fairy tales like many guitar players do.

Sorry! ;)

You may be right. Bassists tend to be simple, sensible folk. Hold the bottom - play in the pocket. Let the guitarist be stupid.

Yep, as a guitarist/bassist/keyboard player, the tech discussions with most true bassists last about 2 minutes and are usually limited to axe, head, cab and maybe a compressor and it's next to impossible to get bass mods in our market,

On the other hand, put it on Reverb with a decent premium and wait for a guitarist/bassist to come negotiating;)
