Re: Any advice for a jazz bass pickups beginner
I once bought a ESP that came stock with a JB in the bridge. I wanted the sound of a distortion. What was I supposed to to do? Play with the guitar the way it was thinking I don't have the right to change it?
What is Seymour duncan purpose then?
I bought good basses cause I know how to play bass for a very long time. I listen to these basses for years since many players that I like use those basses. I also tried them at the store on an amp that wasn't mine.
After some time I want more punch that's all, and then I remembered that when I wanted to swap my guitar pickups I got some great advices from kind people on this website.
I f you are frustrated with your 150€ bass, that's not my fault. All I wanted was an advice to see if swapping the pickups on this kind of bass was a good idea or a mistake cause I would lose the stock sound of it.
I got it, seymour duncan only created jazz bass pickups for 150€ basses only and I'll stick with what I have
Thanks you for your help
