Great choice. It's a really good pickup in Strats. One of my favs.

Dig mine in my Hamer. Thick and juicy with great cut in a live setting.

great pickup, real fat sounding, sounds killer through a marshall. Lots of emphasis on bass and tons of mids. A bit to dry sounding for my taste though.

Re: Any DiMarzio Super Distortion fans in here?

I use mine in an alder/maple strat with a 250K pot and it takes the dryness/brittleness out of the sound, just makes it big and fat sounding.

The Super D was the first bucker in my Strat and it sounded great!

This was going to be my next question.........is it ok to use the stock 250K pots that are in my Strat with the SD?

If you have the vintage style 6 point bridge and not the newer 2 point, the F spaced variant will line up better.

I'd go F-Spaced even with the newer 2-point trem. The poles line up perfectly with it. Definitely go F-Spaced.

With a 250k volume pot, it's great. Splits well and is the only humbucker that I can actually say I like the sound of in parallel.

Yep, I've got a Super D with two Fender Custom Shop 69's in one of my Strat's. I really this combo. Bit of a volume drop but I usually use the Dimarzio for the rock 80's metal stuff and the singles for clean or driven blues.

Originally I had 250K in there then changed to 500K which sounded better. Your SC's will be brighter, but nothing your tone control can't take care of.

Re: Any DiMarzio Super Distortion fans in here?

Ok...say i change my Strat to a single humbucker configuration, would it be better to use the Super Distortion with a 250K or 500K volume pot?

No tone controls, just one volume control.

Re: Any DiMarzio Super Distortion fans in here?

I would say 250 for me just since strats are quite bright on their own, but the super is also a darker pickup so it's basically personal preference

Yeah, it's definitely a personal preference there. Try both and go with what you like best.
