Any experiences on upgrading the PRS Soapbar P90's?

I played a PRS Soapbar and a LP faded back to back. The PRS wins in the finish and feel department. The LP wins in the sound department. I'm hoping that I could upgrade the P90s in the PRS to get the LP growl. Any experiences upgrading the PRS soapbars to Duncan Soapbars etc.?
