Any HS guitars out there?

Re: Any HS guitars out there?

Not a floyd guy?

There are a lot more options with a floyd.

Yah man. I know, I wish I was. But I like the string changing to be easy. And I like the extra chunk of wood in the back, in fact, I would prefer hardtail over vintage trem, but with vintage trem, it gives me another option to consider.

This is pretty dope though.

Yup, both DiMarzios. Tone Zone bridge and Chopper neck wired up ala Ron Thal:

And yeah it's maple alright. Surprisingly not very bright though.

That's a sweet setup, the only change that I would've made on my axe would be to just have the 4th position as neck split.

The pawnshop got the pickguard, I could have my strat setup that way, but it'd still have the PG.

Maybe the LTD PH-600 Page Hamilton?

Nice, this is what I'm sort of of looking for and headed in the right direction.

Has a pickguard but still cool.

I always liked SH better, like a tele with the twangy single bridge, and fat/thick sounding neck. This is obviously not for all music styles though.

Re: Any HS guitars out there?

I'm wondering if there are any mass produced HS guitars out there? Pickups mounted to the body (no pickguard). I'm looking for something in the sub-$900 range (not custom built), but not cheap chinese plywood either. The scale of the guitar doesn't matter, but prefer bolt on and alder or mahog body. Hardtail or vintage trem, no floyds. Thanks.

Something like this:

Hamer Californian for sure, with slanted neck pickup paralleling the slanted 27-fret fretboard.

Can't get any better than this man:
