This may sound like a joke, but I really want to know. Why that odd pink/purple color for a high-gain pedal? And does the name refer to some song or band or something?
Re: Any idea why the Suhr Riot is that color or named "riot"?
Per pedal tradition, I suppose it should be orange, red or black. I feel like I have just as many pedals that veer away from that tradition as follow it though. My Blackstar LT Dual is green, which is a color usually reserved for lower gain pedals.
I just wondered because I am having a clone built and wanted to come up with a clever name based on whatever the Riot got its name from. I considered Civil Disturbance or Mob Violence, but they seem silly.
I was going to go with Anarchy, but wussed and settled for R10T Distortion. I am not into mafia lore, but I think Mob Violence would be a good name, with some sort of Godfather or Sopranos graphic.
