Got some Pure Blues as a gift and dug the sound, but not the feel. I've also heard of some QC issues with DR strings that made me kind of leery of them.
Using EB Rock & Roll strings now and digging it; I play basically Gibsons and Fenders and they work well for both.

The Jimi Hendrix Pure Nickels were one of my favorite pure nickel strings, just behind the more expensive Pyramid Classics. They also were round core, which is the only kind of string I now play. I have tried to get Markley to put out some version of the Hendrix Pure Nickels, but the idiot that answered my email didn't even understand his own string line, he told me to just get the Vintage Reissue strings (round core but NPS wound, they are great and I use them on some guitars, but like the pure nickel wound on other guitars). So I bought about a dozen sets of the Hendrix strings when they discontinued them, then I guess it's back to DR Pure Blues (also pure nickel on round core), or put out more money for the awesome Pyramid Classics.

Didn't use them until recently, I always (50 yrs) used standard wound, (Diaddarios as of late) My lead guitarist turned me on to a set for my 60 Les Paul and I am a believer. I have now changed most of my guitars over to nickel, it will take a while (way too many guitars) but they will all use nickel. I use them on Les Pauls, Strats,Mockingbirds,Biches and Gunslingers at present and will stay with them. They sound a bit better to me and seem to stay in tune a bit better.
