My main mini board
My HX Effects is on a Templeboard, too. It is on there with just 1 Ernie Ball expression pedal, a small digital clock, and a phone charger.
Any mini pedal-boarders here that aren't dweebs?

I also have an expression pedal (modified Cry Baby) on the side of the board because, no more space on it and I'm using the same board for bass so no need for the expression pedal, swapping the Firebox for an Ampeg Classic preamp (but the builtin BDDI model is used for my main bass sound).
I built a module on the side, so I can go 4CM if I want to use an amp, or direct to FOH when using the Atomic Firebox modeler.
The RJ45 connector is providing Midi and power over a cat5 network cable (Cioks 4 under the board).

Very cool modular setup! I use mine for acoustic gigs as well as ones for the band. The HX Effects handles both really well.
How mini do you want to go?
This is my Go To rehearsal/Jams/Backup board. I use it a lot. Add a DI and it can do a show - and I have used it for that. Fits in a gig bag, runs on a One Spot. In "real" pedals it is a: Suhr Riot, Exotic RC Booster, Boss CE-2, Multi-fx for Flange, Chorus, Phase, Tremolo, Wah etc., and a Boss DD7 w/ 3 modes. Gets me my distortion, Boost and Delay that are my meat/potatoes happy place.
I have an adjustable board that can go Mini if I want. This isn't exactly Mini, but it isn't very big, especially if I get rid of the Vibe.

Seriously, love the ReEcho (I've bought it twice) and it's the only delay I've ever kept on a board.
Never could get a decent sound from the Mooer chorus, though.

I think his point is when people dive into a nerdy subculture like mini pedal functionality and features -they likely have a portion of their personality that is disassociated with style, popular culture etc etc

Four minis on my medium board too; this one is fairly elaborate.
Pretty massive mini-board, dude. I'd almost hate to see what your regular board is. Gotta be some real dancing going on to change settings.

Most of them are specials, only kicked on once or twice a night. The EP pedals stay on all the time.
The dual drives (JMP Eleven on the small board, Box Of Awesome on the other) get used a lot since I run my amp fairly clean these days.
Delay and chorus see a fair amount of use too. The rest, not so much.
I rarely have to dance for what I want; jamming doesn't require complex combinations in specific places the way a set does.
The pedals are packed in pretty tightly, though - I have to be precise with my size 13 feet... No rock 'n roll boots, sneakers or slip-ons only.
These are my fun boards: the smaller one for for rock jams, the medium one for the spacier fusion project.
No effects on my "regular" board, it's a MIDI controller for the rack rig.

This is my approach as well. I generally dislike the pedal format for effects, but I use an HX Effects into a Marshall SC20C if I want to go light.
