aNY NEW duncan pickups next year ?

Re: aNY NEW duncan pickups next year ?

I'd go for a 12K-ish neck pickup, A2 or A5, with lots of mids and bass and a smooth, fluid lead sound.

In other words, basically a Duncan Air Norton. :laugh2:

My ESP LH-100 generic pickups already get a very decent fluid lead sound through effects processing. I say pick a pickup for clarity and punch so that it sounds a lot better through effects. Pickups > Effects, true, but still, I feel like this point should be made.

I dissagree. I prefer to use as little effects as possible and let my pickups take control of my sound. Anything more then a lead over drive pedal is to much for me. So I got for pickups then have a punch in them natrualy and dont worry about clarity, except for the jazz, i just like the sound of that pickup natrually so I use it.

That's what my money is on. After all, their project with Dave Mustaine is hardly going to be a kit for "Lengthening, curling, and dying your hair strawberry in just three easy steps!", is it?

hahah, wouldn't that be great? Seymour Duncan Electric guitar pickups and hair-care inc. :laugh2:

i think the phat cat should be redesigned

i have a feeling they'd be more popular if they weren't alnico 2

and hamer doesn't need them anymore, do they?

On my wish list the first place is occupied by a (little) bit hotter JB with more prominent low mids and a touch more bass...............
