Any opinions on Ibanez Roadstar II guitars?

Re: Any opinions on Ibanez Roadstar II guitars?

No way man, I've owned it too long to ever sell it :). I wouldn't sell it because it has a trem, I just wouldn't buy another.

yeah LOL, good try though huh?

that is one of the sweetest roadstars i have ever seen. plus if its got that oiled neck its got to be awesome!

arent the wizard necks they came out with later thinner than these?

why on earth did they mess with that awesome shape neck?

Here's my RG410 that I bought new back in late '86/early '87:

(I added the Dimebucker earlier this year.)

I wanted an Eddie-style guitar, but not a Kramer, which everyone had at the time. Ibanez popularity hadn't exploded yet, but it wasn't much later before everybody had one. Not this model, though, everybody got the next one. It was probably ten years after buying mine before I saw another, in a San Diego pawnshop. It's been my baby throughout the years, but over time, the Floyd has been a hassle. I doubt I will ever buy another trem-equipped guitar again.

this is pretty neat Roadstar... i have never seen one like this before....

The wizard is much thinner, a little wider and probably a little flatter radiused too.

I like both profiles personally, but if I had to decide I'd go with the Roadstar profile over the wizard profile.

i think that most people would go with the roadstar profile instead.

Yeah, that's what I meant by an "Eddie-style guitar", I wanted one similar to his 5150-era axe. 5150 was the latest album at the time, & I worshipped all things EVH.
