Any owner of a gibson epiphone stratocaster around?

So, i have this epiphone stratocaster, i like the guitar but it needs some work done, everything is "fixable" apart from the pickguard, i definitely need a new one since i decided to paint the guitar and i wanna make it look new, but the stratocaster pickguard i bought doesn`t match and i don`t wanna keep buying different stratocaster pickguards hoping that one will "match", so before i spend 60£ buying a custom one i would like to know if there`s anyone that had the same experience a founded a pickguard that actually match:fingersx:
Thanks in advance :)IMAG0785.jpg

I've got the S-210 "Batwing" version. It's not a bad "cheapy". Comparable to a Squier Affinity. (The body is only 1 9/16" rather than 1 13/16".)

But you've discovered the same problem I have. The pickguard isn't standard Strat sized. There's two basic options that I know of: Make your own, or send your pickguard to www.wdmusic.com, and they'll make you a new one to your specs.

I haven't done it yet, but I've talked to them at guitar shows and they seem reasonable.

(Mine's black. I snagged that pic from Wiki.)

P.S. I just remembered . . . you don't actually have to send the pickguard itself, (although that works), if you do a careful tracing, they can make from that too.

I had a white one and loved it for the price, only paid $120. I still don't know why I sold it–the action was great and the pickups sounded great.

Just curious, have you thought about painting the pickguard to match the guitar?

I saw one in a pawn shop for like $60. It was white with a maple board and had the explorer style headstock and only 1 volume and 1 tone. I don't remember why I passed it up, but I regret it now.

I want one with the hockey headstock. I'm a huge fan of them for no good reason other than I have epis.

Kind of funny you mentioned Epi Strats. I have had GAS lately for a Gibson US1, dont ask me why I just want one.

Hi,thanks for replying,
i can`t paint the pickguard because i`m changing from s/s/s to humbuckers, it seems like the only option is a custom one unfortunately :(
custom pickguards are so expansive :headache:

Funny you should say that. I'm converting mine to have a pair of GFS Dream 90's in it. They're humbucker sized also. When I make my pickguard, I'll be making a pattern. I could probably make two as easily as one. It wouldn't cost much more than the cost of the pickguard material.

Let me see how mine turns out, and I'll post back the results.

Ah I see! Sorry to hear that it looks like a custom job. I've seen the Epi strats in HSS but not HH.

I love it when the pickguard is painted the same as the body like this Kramer
