Any way to clean dust off a guitar without removing parts?

My guitar has a 1 ply pickguard which is quick to gather dust at the corner that forms between the body of the guitar and the pickguard. It just feels like my guitar is dirty ALL the time no matter how often I wipe it down, it's frustrating.

I think Q-tips might do the trick, any other suggestions?

use a vaccume with the brush attachment . . .

A guitar tech who's a friend of mine uses Windex type cleaner on guitars in his shop. I'm guessing for ones with a poly finish, not sure about nitro.

Swiffer duster...the electrostatic one...gets into all the tight corners.

God, I sound like a salesman.

I use a "never been used for anything else but dusting off guitars" paintbrush.

If it is a bolt on throw a capo on it, pull the neck off (with the strings attached), take it apart and give it a super cleaning.

I have an army of North Korean children living in my basement who do my bidding for I am like a god to them.
I have them clean all of my guitars with their tiny little fingers.

So cute.

?

Astro is asking about gunk around a non-beveled pickguard :laugh2: I have an old soft-bristled toothbrush that I use for this kind of thing. It gets gunk out right up against the frets, by the pickguard or control plates, etc.
