Re: Any way to tint a Satin Poly neck?
Well, I don't want a Nitro finish..so I'm gonna try this stuff in golden Oak.

I tried the brush on Minwax Poly w/ Oka stain, and I wouldnt recommend trying to brush on the stuff, unless yopu cut it with 10% thinner or something., or are a pro.it came out looking not too bad, but definitely not pro..you can see brush marks runs etc. so I'm going to Spray my next project..a Warmoth neck with this .;
I know it is possible to tint Tung oil, but I wouldn't want to try, and I don't think it comes pre-tinted.
If or when I try my next Nitro project , I will not use ReRanch. Maybe the Reranch Tint first and then the clearcoat works well, as evidenced by S.Dlx'ers work, but the all in one Reranch tint and clear is most definitely too Orange-y.
I'd try THIS stuff;

By the way, while I'm at it, Minwax says you CAN put Tru oil over Poly.
So you can also put Poly over Nitro if you know what you are doing, but what about Nitro over Poly? Thats gotta be a No-No.
