This is made by an actual pedal "company" -for them not to understand why this design would not even be functional is a head scratcher, at first I thought the dial was there because the the orientation was the helmet may be intended to face the audience, but the status light proves this is not the case.

They are mini replica helmets -so Im guessing on board is the only option.

Judging by the size of the footswitch, these have to be those little mini helmets. You could probably fit them on someone's head somewhere, though.
