Anybody tried the new Planet waves Solderless cables

Re: Anybody tried the new Planet waves Solderless cables

I have looked at them too but have not tried them.

Re: Anybody tried the new Planet waves Solderless cables

I use one going from my PODxt to my power amp and it hasn't failed on me yet. I've never used George Ls though so I can't compare.

Re: Anybody tried the new Planet waves Solderless cables

George L's does a thicker cable(more insulation and heavy duty plugs as well) which kicks ass. Smae great clear cable, but it had much more insulation. The standard diameter is .155 in and the big ones are .255 in. The .155 are $.70 per foor and the .255 are $.90 per foot(plus the cost of plugs on both). They kick ass and really hold up great. I just cant get enough of them

Re: Anybody tried the new Planet waves Solderless cables

I have not tried them, but I just can't stop using my George L's...I love these damn things. I've been using George L's since about 96 and I don't think I'll even use anything else.

I haven't tried those, but I've got one of their circuit breaker cables. They seem to be a well made product, but I haven't had mine long enough to really abuse it yet.

Re: Anybody tried the new Planet waves Solderless cables

Hey Ken..... I use George L exclusivley. I have not had any reason to change. They have been the most reliable cable I have ever used, and I think for the difference I can't see the advantage of the planet waves. They are almost double the George L. I just bought 3 premade George L for 24. per cable (15 foot). I do use the thinner cable, but the heavier cables are better for connecting to the amp or pedalboard.

Re: Anybody tried the new Planet waves Solderless cables

I only use George L's and standard Planet Waves (gold plug) in my home studio...with the nod going toward George L's whenever possible.

Re: Anybody tried the new Planet waves Solderless cables

O.K.! Fuhgedaboutit ! I just broke down and ordered some George L's. :laugh2:

Re: Anybody tried the new Planet waves Solderless cables

i like the planet waves cables. i use the standard ones, the gold plugs and they seem to work well. good solid connections, good sound.better than the monster prolinks, they are overpriced IMO. actaully, all monster cables are overpriced IMO. ive never tried george l's because they are a little too expensive for me.
