Re: Anybody using the SA-6 Mag Mic

Once adjusted nicely to your guitar (balance between the mic and the mag), it's a killer pick-up fu sho'!

I use one for live performances with my Taylor 414 and I get amazing results, even without any other preamp source... straight into the board...sound amazing.

Worth every penny IMO.

Re: Anybody using the SA-6 Mag Mic

I've had the same experience with mine - straight into the board. I've just got mine on a cheap acoustic (the pup cost me more than the guitar :laugh2:), but it does a great job with it. I'd really love to try one on a high-end acoustic.

i love mine. i played a few acoustic gigs recently and i forgot how great that pup sounds. i was using a '62 slope shoulder with the magmic and it sounded better than the taylor 814ce expression system and the hd28 with a (i assume martin) undersaddle pup

Aside from the fact that I didn't want a cutaway guitar, this is the reason why I didn't buy a CE... I like the mag-mic more than the expression system... people around here think I'm too picky, but I do think I have great tone when playing live... and they tend to agree...

*note that I said great tone, not talent...*
