Get a BBE Sonic Maximizer, preferably the 462. Best piece of rack equipment you can buy for the money. I got mine for $60, and it has added more to my tone than you could imagine for that kind of money.

I love my BBE, tho I use it sparingly, and when I record, not as part of my live rig.
