Anyone check out the Marshall Haze series yet?

Re: Anyone check out the Marshall Haze series yet?

This very well be my 1st Marshall. We'll just have to see when it comes out.

Nothing wrong with Marshalls. I don't know where you get this kind of stuff. I gigged with DSLs for years. They kill on stage. JVMs do too. What you need is one of them Line6 amps.

Why do I need a line 6?

You guys do know you can by-pass the effects....RTFM!

FYI this is a forum with many tone snobs. Some of us are weird about the concept of purity. Crappy, unused effects would bother me, just because they are there, and, they are one more item that can possible cause problems. On my way to tone snob therapy now...

so which would be better for 80's hair rock stuff? the 40w combo wth the EL34's and or the 15w with the 6v6's?

Re: Anyone check out the Marshall Haze series yet?

More digital effects = crappier tone. Simplify an amp and tell me you don't hear a difference. Heck, I noticed it with the reverb circuit on my Bogner Shiva. I owned one reverb and one non-reverb and ended up selling the reverb one. There is a difference, whether or not it makes enough is a whole 'nuther story.

The 6V6's in the 15 watter have my interest as well. I've had a few lower watt EL84 amps and there's something about EL84 tone that just doesn't work for me.

+1 My DSL 1/2 stack has been going strong for over 10 years.
