Anyone ever played a Gibson MRC?

It's a late 80's Gibson Superstrat bolt-on model designed by Wayne Charvel. 2 singles and a humber with a Floyd. One I'm looking was discovered by a friend in his step-dad's storage. Signed by Wayne Charvel on the truss rod cover. This is [NODE="38"]Rio BBQ/Texas CLIPS (various styles)[/NODE] of 200 made in the initial run. Weird to see a Gibson bolt-on but looks like a fun little shredstick

I guess this was a less fancy U2?

No totally different guitar. I had a Showcase U2 and a WRC at the same time back in the early 90s. The WRC is a bolt on super strat while the U2 was a set neck. The WRC is a cool guitar and in particular liked the stock single coils in mine as they are I think unique to those guitars. I had a Black WRC and worked for a Gibson dealer back in the late 80s. There was also a Showcase WRC that was pearl white with EMG's. I played the one we had at the shop often. The WRC stood for Wayne Ray Charvell. and wayne did design both the U2 and the WRC.
