Great setup... I know LEW uses the CC in his Hamer...

I've got a pair of Hamer Monaco Super Pro's. The body has hollow tone chambers. It's a semi-hollowbody without f holes. The model comes stock with the Custom Custom in the bridge position.
It sounds great! It's a noticeably different tone than a solid body. Power chords are more focused. More crunch, a little less "zzzt". It has a powerful midrange, with less high end and more warmth than my solid body guitars. It's a great sound for riffing.

Have a C3 (CC with Alnico 3) in my ES-355. It's perfect. But then again, this guitar is very bright and resonant in the upper mids.
