Anyone experienced Jackson J80/J80C pups?

I just saw a bunch going at less than 10USD each at the guitar shop where I live. wonder if they're good for a run.

US - Germany via USPS Priority mail fis generally under 15 $ for 2 pickups.

I´d love to comment on the pickup itself, but the 80 s are the one set of Jackson hums I havent´tried yet... if you don´t like them I´ll take them fo sho

OK, Singapore is a bit more, that ´s true, but I´ll live.... and the way the weather must be I´ll be grumbling about the cold, snowless German winter the whole time

That would be great if you could scope it out, I´d definitely be interested in one of each...

the Jackson J80's are 13K.
The J80C has a ceramic mag
the J80 has an A5 mag

I have a J80C that I used for only about 1 month. I liked it- it has a great clean tone.

I have a J80 in my Rhoads and it's probably the best stock pup I've ever heard.

sorry zerb. just went over to the shop today, and some idiot (i have to call him an idiot cos his action was just unnecessary) had reserved all the J80 pups. must be a guy out to make a $$$ killing. it just feels plain disgusting to me.

That's stange as I have heard members on the JCF forum say the J-80's aren't that impressive tone wise, kind of bland, and nothing compared to the J-90c. IIRC they came stock on a Model 3A.

J80 = A5
J80C= Ceramic

C=ceramic, that holds true for all of the old Jackson USA pickups, J 50, J90, J95

Yeah, but they're a bunch o' shredheads over there... ;-) People who like Duncan distortions aren't usually thrilled by 59s...
