Anyone hate tele bridge as much as me?

I played a tele in the bridge and it sucked,I think all tele's need hot rails in the bridge.I've heard bruce springsteen's tele and that guitar sound's good too.What other rails pickups sound good in tele's?

I like seymour's tele gibby sound with jb bridge much more then a vintage tele,so I lean more towards that then a vintage tele.

What style of music do you like? What amp are you playing it through?

A Tele bridge pickup won't cut it for chugga chugga metal.

Seymour plays the guitar in his video and it sounds great.I like a pickup that fattens things up in the bridge.Company-videos-Seymour Duncan on Back Beat if you want to here the guitar.

Springsteen should be using Bardens, probably a little more hi-fi than a single coil but in the same ballpark.

Tele bridge pickups kick the proverbial booty.

a hotrails in the bridge doesnt sound anything like a tele. you just dont like tele's

I hated the sound until I actually bought a Tele and took it to my weekly gig and forced myself, trial by fire style, to make it sound usable.

After the show I realized that I had indeed rolled the tone back a lot, and the volume a tad.

I was not used to doing this on naturally warmer pickups - I usually ran the tone near full 10 on my other main gigger, which had BurstBucker Pros in it (warm, A5 PAFs).

Anyways, I was forced to discard my preconceived notion of "where the tone knob should be," because it's not supposed to be near 10 on a Tele.

Meh. Granted, my Tele bridge pup is of the naturally fat variety, but I run my tone control wide open about 95% of the time and I've never taken anyone's head off with treble.

I've said it before and I stand by it; a good Tele bridge pup is the most versatile creation in all of pickup land. It's just that it's one of those pickups where it's absolutely vital to play it like you ****ing mean it.

Billy gibbons has a tele with a custom shop little pearly gates pickup and I would say that like him I like tele's but don't like the tele bridge.The pickup isn't slanted so it is a fat tele.

billy played lots of old fenders back in the day. it doesnt matter what he plays now. he plays with 7 gauge strings and runs everything thru an eq so it sounds like pearly

With my SG Classic I have the bridge tone around 5 and the neck tone around 7 (playing at band volumes). Use your tone knob!

The thing is, the bridge pickup IS the Tele. If you don't like that, then you don't like Telecasters.

I play the bridge on my Teles probably 95% of the time. I tried a lil'59 in one of them and I think I'm going to take it out and sell it. It sounds ok, but it sounds like an LP and not a Tele anymore.

Why did it suck? You don't explain anything about what you don't like, only saying that the boss has a good tone.

I've never owned a Tele (because all I play is chugga-chugga metal LOL!) but I think it might be an OK guitar to mess with.

I don't want pots and wires to mess up my sound,if you turn them down it won't sound good,all the mids go away and there's never any harmonics.I want to here the guitar,not $10 worth of parts.
