anyone have this custom 4 way tele switch diagram..?

I’ve fitted a 4way using the Fender recomendation for 2 of my 3 teles and while I really like and use the sounds its just… I dunno how to explain… ‘Counter Intuitive’?

...now what would be IDEAL for me (and perhaps a few others too?) would be
Position 0NE/Back: Bridge neck in series
Position TWO: Bridge ALONE
Position THREE: Bridge & neck in parallel
Position four: neck alone

is this possible? I think it could be sorta achieved by switching the neck & bridge pups and turning the switch around too..? I can’t quite get my head around it!

Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
P.S:
this is a cool alternative:

Yes. The four-way selector switch wiring can be configured to have the sounds in whatever sequence you think best.

The logic of the Fender layout is probably, bridge PU where you expect it to be. Both (parallel) between the tradtional positions 1 and 2 - where it used found to be on vintage Telecasters. Next comes neck PU only, sort of where it originally used to be. Finally, the fat, dark sound.

I like:
Neck alone
Parallel
Series
Bridge alone

I have a stock Strat that allows all 3 pickups in series (form 1982), and I never use that sound, though. Too dark and wooly.

Position 0NE/Back: Bridge neck in series
Position TWO: Bridge ALONE
Position THREE: Bridge & neck in parallel
Position four: neck alone

thats the way i have my black tele wired up and i like it a lot. not hard to do as long as you isolate the ground wires

Cool! But as any one got a wiring diagram for my choices (or ANY alternate 4way, for that matter!)?

See if these help. I wired my Tele like your first post and liked it enough to keep it there for the last 5-6 years. The bottom diagram should be your "cool alternative" scheme.

**Position #1 is switch all the way down**

Thanks but it seems these diagrams show ALL the various permutations EXCEPT the one I want!
(the last one IS close though...)

If its not too much of a bother I wonder could you remove 2 screws; flip open you control plate (thank goodness it's not a Strat -no need to remove strings!)& check what your wiring is, please?

I was looking for a regular tele on positions 4&3&2 but with both pickups in series at position 1
Thanks for everyone's time, here

Sorry about that, my dyslexia was acting up today. :omg:

I have posted the one you want in my post above. Let me know if that's what you want.

Y U P!!
That claims to be the one!
I'll know for sure when I try it though... ;-)

Is it the one YOU use?
I expect it's just like having a Tele as normal BUT when you throw the switch right back it gets bright & heavy -louder, maybe, too?

Hope So!

My Tele is wired like that, yes. But be cautioned, that not all switches are the same so make sure your lugs are oriented the same as the drawing. One side will have lugs that are lower than the other. If the diagram doesn't match your switch, then you will need to mirror the wiring, not simply flip the switch.

Here are some visual examples of what I mean.

See what I mean? Flipping that switch around would not change a thing. You'd need to mirror the drawing to make it work. What I do in a case like that is put the drawing in my photo editor and flip it horizontally so that it's a mirror image. Hope I have helped and not confused you.

I would be interested to know how this turns out. I hadn't seen a diagram like that before.
