Mesa Boogie DIY schematics in pedal form. Sounds decent. Anyone build one? I want one.

I started to build one, but I never finished it. Does that count?

I realized when I was doing this how close the SLO100 preamp and the Dual Rectifier red channel are, though. It's something like 5 components difference. I was going to put the SLO preamp in a box and use the Dr. Boogey as a baseline, and that's when I came to this realization.

Sorry to not help, but that was my experience. I suggest you go browse gaussmarkov.net. He has schematics, PCB layouts, etc. I think you can find everything you need there.

i know a lot of DIYers here in my country who builds one. sounds great to, also try the Diezel Herbert V4 emulator. tighter bass response than the dr boogey.

I built one. It was my main distortion for a while. I had probably the funkiest rig at that time... C1-floyd rose into Dr. Boogey into an AC30. cleans nice and chimey, distortion very insane. Unfortunately, its not an easy pedal to build. You will need to really watch your lead dress, and use sheilded cable for the ins/outs, or anything crossing other leads. But as you can see, what a SICK sound.

These videos make me think about building a Mesa cab sim and running that setup as a second guitar sounds for my band's album. I can think of two songs in particular it would sound sick in... but then again I have access to a triple rectifier if I ever needed it. So, as tempted as I am, I have the real thing at my disposal if I really want to.

I like the sounds on that last video. Too bad I don't know what the hell the dude is saying.

The pedals in the first two vidoes seem rather dark. The last one has that bright sizzle and sounds more recto-ish to me.

Oooh I just thought of a name for a Delay/Auto Wah pedal hehe...

The Dual Rastafier!
