And if you take about 500 winds off each coil they sound much better. Cleans up their "muddy" tendancy of the imported version.

yeah but some of the reviewers elsewhere say they have thier own sound and are very underated pups because they are not made in the U.S?
one guy said the neck pup is clearer then the U.S made distortion neck

I haven't used the Buckshot, but I can say the Detonator is a hell of a pickup. It is rather misleading, as it looks like the Invader but doesn't sound like it, but it is a good pickup in its own right, for an unbelievable price ($29!!!)

i prefer the detonator to the invader actually. to bad they (musicians friend) don't ship to canada
