Hey all, Cool story. Growing up, my Dad was the local high school band director(70-88) and I always remember this spinning, orange glowing thing in the corner as a kid. When I finally got to high school (84-88) I learned what it was. A Conn St-11 strobo tuner. Well I became friends with it my junior year(1st trumpet,Of course:)) and after I left(graduated), I soon forgot about it. Then I picked up the guitar(no band directors son was going to play the guitar!) and dropped the trumpet. Years later, looking through my piles of guitar magazines, what do I see in pictures of ALL of the guitar gods sitting on top af their amps? The old st-11! Well,,,,, My sister is now the Asst. band director at the same school and guess what she found buried in the bottom of a locker in the back closet? Yes! And guess who now has that same exact tuner as of yesterday? Yours truly! It was great seeing the old girl again. She did'nt have the original power supply, but that was an easy fix. I turned the knob and saw that cool orange glow for the first time in 15 years.

I set up all of my axes last night and just loved it. The irony is, 3 weeks ago I bought a Stobostomp and had it for about 2 weeks and retuned it. Don't get me wrong, it's a great tuner, but it just was missing that special something that using a real strobe gives you(and it ain't cheap!). So it got returned last week and I guess I mentioned something to my sister about it and she dug this thing out.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my story and say how much I enjoyed using MY "new" tuner.
