Anyone know what "custom designed" pups are in this guitar?

Re: Anyone know what "custom designed" pups are in this guitar?

from a Harmony Central review said:
Features two Seymor Duncan pickups, a classic 57 and a pearly gates I believe.

I don't know if this is accurate though.

I don't think Fender would have a problem to mention the models if they were standard production pickups like said above.

"classic 57"...this sounds more like a Gibson to me.:eek13: Do I miss something?

Re: Anyone know what "custom designed" pups are in this guitar?

The Showmasters have a '59 in the neck and a Pearly Gates Plus in the bridge. The Pearly Gates Plus is a Pearly Gates with an Alnico 5 magnet instead of an Alnico 2, which the regular Pearly Gates has. Also, the Pearly Gates Plus is a little hotter than the regular Pearly Gates.

Metalblaze: The '57 Classic is a Gibson pickup.

Some showmasters do. This is clearly stated in the specs, etc for some of the showmasters. However, the specs and description say something different, "custom designed seymour duncan humbuckers." The fact that the 59RP and the PG+ are staed on descriptions for some of the guitars and that the others say something different implies that the pickups are different between the elite and regular showmasters....

Yes, I was just thinking maybe this guy (from the review) means something else as his guitar is a Showmaster Elite and supposed to have SDs.

Thanks for the definition though.;)
