The neck and pickups look identical to those used by the 'Audition' brand that were sold by Woolworths in the UK in the late 60s ... I had one of their electrics and my sister had one of their acoustics.
I loved that guitar and occasionally search for a replacement. Judging from what I've seen, Auditions may well have been made by Teisco, and I think the Audition brand may have been exclusive to Woolworths UK (the Audition badge was held to the headstock with two tiny pins, in other words, the same parts may have been re-badged for various outlets in different countries).

The usual suspects are Teisco, Kay, Satellite, Zenta (or was that Zonta?). All Japanese.
The bridge is a generic affair found on numerous budget guitars of the late Sixties and early Seventies. It consists of a hollow steel tube seated on two stud inserts. Height adjustment is by two thumbwheels. Intonation adjustment is impossible.
Realistically, the only uses of the object are;
1) Slide
2) Shop sign
3) Novelty wall decoration
4) Canoe paddle.

I agree that it must be '60's to '70's Japanese, but aside from that, I'd probably pay 50 bucks for it myself, if I had 50 bucks to spend. Maybe not if the neck was warped or something (which they are on a good portion of those types of guitars). I wouldn't care about bad electronics. You can just redo them without much cost. And I wouldn't spend much more than 50 unless it was in really nice shape.
But I don't think that these guitars are useless as instruments, to be relegated to wall hanger or slide-only status. Some of them are playable and sound OK. I did spend more than $50 for my Japanese cheapie because it was in very good condition, it came with a case, and it is very hard to find in the 12 string model:

That's nowhere near as ugly as the other one though, yours looks alright, even to me.
