Anyone know what's up with this DS-1?

The seller claims its a 40th anniversary DS-1, but that text looks pretty orange to me.

That was a special edition they did around 2016.

I've been researching this and I don't even know what they would go for if ever I were to sell it. I've only seem a single listing of it that isn't actually a 4A, and that listing was like a year after they came out.

I saw a decent deal on an anniversary one and was wondering if you were still interested, looks like you got it already

Are you going to keep going down the rabbit hole and get the different circuit revisions, MIJ etc?

I think I may have to at this point. If I recall the big ones were just the current one, one that used a pre-amp instead of an opamp, and one that was inbetween?

I didn't know there were so many. It seems like it would be fun to experiment with the opamps. I don't know how big a difference they really could make, because opamps are all just about as close as we are going to get to ideal anyway, at least for these purposes.
