Anyone seen the new Squier Esprit?

I picked one up in my favorite guitar store the other day, and was messing with it for a moment before I realized that it was a Squier. This thing is very nice. Solid, with neck and body binding. Great feel to the neck.

One more thing to cause GAS.

Squier Esprit on Harmony Central.

Check page 88 of the Fender Frontline 2005 catalog. The one in Antique Burst is the cool one.

I liked it when it was a Fender but the Squire is pretty cool as well!

Ironically, as soon as I posted this, I saw Benjy's post on Godin guitars. The Godin SD is less money than this. Makes it a tough call.

btw, the esprit does look a tad like fender's robben ford model.

no wonder it looks familiar! its the robben ford model with a 'redesigned' headstock and cheaper components. maybe they are making it available to the mass market since robben jumped ship.

The Fender catalog says this about it:

No other specs than that.
