Thanks dude! Yeah I hope so!!Niiiiiiiice. I'll bet you'll love it!
Lol Yeah, I don't find many deals that pop up like this one often.I WOULD BE ALL OVER THAT!!!!!!!!!!
i wish i lived where you do!
HAHA! Well I'm glad you don't live near me thenI would have orpheo'd the phuck out of you if I lived anywhere near you lol. Great score!!!
Just picked it up! It has just a little bit of buckle rash on the back and it a little dirty. But after I clean it up and give it a good setup, it should be very nice. Even came with a nice hardcase and some cables.

YES!
Thanks! Sounds like your's is going to be very awesome when your finished with it!! I think this will be a really cool guitar. I haven't played it much yet, because the strings were SO DEAD! The action was ok, the fretboard was kinda dry, frets were pretty tarnished, and the whole guitar was really dirty! Lol It has a few dings here and there, and just a little bit of buckle rash on the back, but it just looks like any guitar that has seen a few gigs. It should clean up pretty nice though! So after I get everything setup, I'll see how I like it stock. A Sweet MIJ Tele with a Hardcase and some cables... it was a no brainer for the price! And if for some reason I just find that its not for me, I can still make a good profit on it.I didn't see the ad, but I saw someone mention that it was an Aerodyne. Congrats! $300 is half what the guy could have sold it for on E-Bay.
I bought mine new not too long after they first started bringing them into the U.S.A. I paid $600 in about 2004. Now they sell for at least that much! I am amazed how they have kept their value.
Mine was all stock until a few months ago. I installed the pots that I had taken out of my Explorer (which I thought were 500K, but was informed are 300K on the Forum), removed the annoying single-wire leads from the "Black Dove" P90 and replaced them with individual leads, and set it up with 0V/2T controls. I still want to lower the cap values, though. I have .022 Orange Drops on there just because I had them lying around, but I think I want to try .0047 neck and .01 bridge. I might also go to a 1M pot for the neck. It is better, but still a little mushy.
I never used the neck pickup until I made those changes. The thing was a total dog at any sort of volume. I wish I could have kept it stock, but my frustration finally got the better of me after 8 years of using it as if it was an Esquire. I did have some reservations about drilling out the holes for the U.S.A. control pots, but I said screw it and went ahead.
I also think I am gonna put a parchment pickguard on mine, and a screwless, switchless control plate. I laid a w/b/w guard over it just to give me an idea of what it might look like, and damn! It is a good looking guitar as is, but it was downright smokin' hot with the white guard. Didn't quite match the binding, so I think it'll be single-ply parchment when I do it. I am gonna try to rig it up so it is stick-on (pre-radius the guard and use thin double-sided tape).
NICE!! Congrats!!
