Anyone split 59's?

Now that I've heard my DD/DC's split, I'm thinking about adding that option to my 59's.
Do 59's sound good split?

yeah artie, i really like my 59 split ... it combines nicely when split too .. it's not super hot when split, but plenty clear .. i detect something of a low mid rise in the split ... the highs are somewhat muted compared to, say, my AIIP split ... i can split either coil, but honestly cant tell a difference .. i like the 59 split when playing los lonely boys covers .. not a dead on copy of the tone, but it loves the wah and produces a nice vowel-like tone on the gain channel of my amp

Good Morning Artie! The neck '59 sure does! The bridge '59 sounds a little thin and weak split , but combined with the split neck you'll get a pretty usable and funky tone.

Thanks guys. Now, the only downside is, I'll have to replace at least one CTS pot with one of those cheap push/pull pots. I really don't want to drill any holes in this pickguard. :yell:
