Anyone tried Celestion Relic 30's?

I found some Relic 30's for sale. I read they're supposed to be some special edition speakers for Guitar Center based on the Vintage 30. Anyone tried them that knows what they're like? How do the high/mids/lows/headroom compare to standard Chinese V30's?

Nevermind, bought a couple to swap into my Marshall 4x12.

I emailed Celestion asking about them, and they told me they're like a cross between a V30 and a K100. Should be interesting!

I'll post some clips comparing them to V30's when I get them, if anyone's interested.

I know, right? Now, I don't know wether they'll replace the pair of Vintage 30's or the pair of H-75 Creambacks in my cab... hmm... decisions. I'm leaning towards replacing the Creambacks.

Hit me up if you decide to part ways with your H-75 Creambacks. I'm pretty partial to them & I've got some cabinet projects this summer so I'd be interested in getting my hands on decent used ones for the right price...

Sounds great from the description, I actually have 2x V30 and 2x H100 in a Marshall 1960.
You'll have the power/headroom and low end of the H/K100 combined with the attitude cut and presence of the V30's.

So it happened! It looks like they're UK-made as opposed to the V30's in that cab. Will report back once I get to crank my little Krank through the cab.

Alright, so first impressions: They are definitely related to Vintage 30's. They've got that same kind of mid focus.

HOWEVER, they're A LOT less ice-picky. I mean A LOT. They may even be voiced darker than Mesa V30's. I love that! They have got more of a core/low mid focus without ay trace the upper mid spike.

The bass... they've got a touch less than the V30's. Just a touch. But they're also tighter, and they're not thin-sounding at all because of what's going on in the mids.
