Anyone tried this no-mod Marshall high-gain module?

Something Cool

Get a high gain solution without changing any wiring or mounting in your Marshall amp. It is a whole module (with 2 switches) that plugs into one tube socket and has 2 tubes and other components on board.

I refuse to mod my Marshall. This might be cool.

Anyone with opinions?

There are quite a few guys over on the Marshall forum that use them. Think the guy that owns Hot Mod is on there and very responsove to questions.

There isnt one for a Jubilee, so dont have real world experience with it, but seems to get aot of praise.

I saw a vid on these. If I had an 800 head, I'd be all about it.

If I had a Jubilee, I wouldn't use one- I want THAT sound.

As it is, my Mesa Stiletto has no such need.

I have one in my SC20H Mickey Mouse JCM800 and absolutely love it. I started with gain around 7ish and low volume (so I don't get my family running for their lives and the house repossessed) and with the gain & bass switches up. Now into the BOSS TAE Core with the master up around 4 I had to flick both back down in the off position. I can imagine if you have the big 800 brother it will sound even better. Ask on the MF, quite a few happy hot mod v2 users there.

I suppose I should join the Marshall forum, indeed. And I better get this module while it's available. Thanks, folks.
