A6 is like a slightly warmer A8, with a little less output, not much of a difference. Whereas A2, A3, A4, and A5 are all very distinct, A6 doesn't offer much new.
I'd like to find A1's and A7's and see what they're like. They are made; the hard part is getting them cut in guitar PU size, as there's large minimum orders.

I put an a9 in a jb. From what I hear its pretty much the same as an a8 just a little bit brighter. I haven't done a side by side comparison.
