Anyone try the new keeley sd-1 mod

I forget what it is called. But Robert Keeley website says they've slightly changed their mod.

My SD-1 is in need of repair (few glitchy connections). I was thinking of just getting it modded, assuming that through all their tinkering, they would test to make sure all the contacts are clean. Also, hoping to get clearer sound out of the pedal.

Its a $80 hit though!

Anyone have one?

Soundclip on the site is nice, but just trying to get more info before I jump

Hmm...

I'll look more into it. The guiness mod sounds like what I'd want

I have one of his SD-1s that's modded with both the chaos and guiness mods and a switch to go back and forth.
The guiness side is warm but clearer and less fizzy than stock. It has lots of drive and works great in front of a clean amp to geat blues tones or hard rock.

check out monteallums.com -- http://www.monteallums.com/Product_links.html

he has some great sounding mods at very reasonable prices
lots of soundclips on that site

the guy that does the mods is cmatmods.com and it costs much less than keeley
i don't have an SD-1, but i have his BD-2 H20 mod and it's the best BD-2 mod I've heard so far.
