Aldo Nova had an all white guitar with gold hardware, and a white and gold OFR on it back it the early 80's. I worked that show in Eugene back then and had a chance to to really look it over. It was Stunning!

Probably the electro-plating or powder coating processes would drive up the cost. I've seen some custom jobs (e.g. in red) though and they look pretty cool.
