Anyone use a Twangbanger with Texas Hots

I have Ant Texas Hots, neck and RW RP middle.

I can either put the Ant Custom Bridge or a Twangbanger.

Or even the 2 Texas hots with the CC in the bridge

I would put them in my AM Dlx Strat (Ash)

Lou....I use the entire Texas Hot set in one of my strats and love all 3...In another strat though,I have a Surfer neck and middle and the Twangbanger in the bridge...I'm an avid fan of the A2 poles or magnets in my bridge positions..

Thanks. There has been so much said about the Surfer/ Twangbanger and Aps 2 and Twangbanger. I was just wondering about if it would work with the Texas Hots.

Maybe it was just another one of my foolish questions.

I have been slowly accumulating Strat PUPs and it's time to start trying some out. I have not done a pickguard setup from scratch yet I need to get a little more understanding of how to do it. Wiring diagrams short out my brain. :smack:

i think the twangbanger would work fine with the texas hots. the texas hots are nice warm vintagey single coils and should mix fine with a more tele like hotter bridge pup

I think it would work fine with Texas Hots too....maybe even better (to some player's ears) than with Surfers, because all three (Texas Hots and Twangbanger) would be alnico 2 pickups with similarities in tone.

I love the Texas Hot Custom bridge pickup too though, and I think I'd go with a full set of the Texas Hots over the Texas Hot neck and middle with a Twangbanger bridge.

I like the Twangbanger when it's combined with APS-2 neck and middle pickups. A very nice set and all three compliment each other beautifully, IMO.
