music store guy Chuck got one in a trade, is holding for me, says great amp head and nt too heavy. Anyone care to comment on this old Fender hybrid?

The tubes need to be on 24/7 while playing. The clean section is too pure and sterile sounding.
Just my experience. it will be interesting to hear one in good shape.
Cousin has the smaller version. Decent cleans, but his hummed, buzzed, and the reverb was broken.

Got it. Like it. Think Fender must have had some really good electrical engineers in the early 90s. Have a little Bronco SS amp and like it too. Both have a real Fender classic sound to them even being SS. The 1000 Roc-Pro sits in my car with a speaker cabinet with a 12" Celestion 100W. When a call comes in can grab the Strat, tube preamp for effects loop and go. No lugging the Twin around, save it for situations that call for the best.

I have two of the Roc Pro 4x12 cabs. I've had them for years. Actually, these are the only 4x12 cabs I've ever used or owned. I quite like them. They just... Do it for me. They are nice and light and the tone is very clinical. They work quite well for modelers and they love my Carvin V3. They have handled everything I've thrown at them. And they go for bargain basement prices.

It is a loud an inexpensive amp but respectfully disagree regarding "cheap" "entry" comments. IMO it sounds extremely good for a SS amp, you couldn't get anything close to it in the 100W range for under $300 except in a desperation sale.

I sold a ton of them when I worked at a guitar store. They have reasonable good Fender cleans but the secret to this amp is to run it with Celestion speakers. Those speakers tend to make the dirt channel sound much better and they also tend to roll off the ice picky highs of the amp. For a good cheap amp-the Rock Pro is a solid amp. Ya its not expensive nice but for the money its a solid value.
