Anyone using Seth Lovers on a Floyd Rose guitar?

Re: Anyone using Seth Lovers on a Floyd Rose guitar?

I think unraveling what Ed was actually using for any given time is a full-time job. He gave so many interviews with contradicting info. I've heard people pretty much nail his tone with wildly different gear.

As anyone who’s an accomplished musician ought to know: you’re always going to sound like yourself regardless of who’s guitar you’re playing or who’s amp.

Eddie said that when Ted Nugent asked if he could try Eddie’s guitar and amp that what came out of the speakers sounded just like Ted...not him.

Anyways, I’m not going to rush into making any changes. But I probably will next year.

Thanks guys!

It would also be fantastic if this forum in general could discuss EVH like grown adults (like they do for every other player and far lesser ones than that)... for some reason, the mere mention of EVH gets the knee-jerk reactions to come out. I don't know (and don't care) what transpired in the past here, but to avoid talking about one of the best, most influential guitarists (and tone) ever seems counter-productive for this kind of forum.

Especially one (company) that has, historically, such an intimate relationship with Ed.

That you Wolfie?

C'mon, lighten up. Giving EVH a hard time is an American pastime.

Playing-wise I was never a fan, so I am fine discussing him. I looked for other things in the rock guitarists I liked. But I certain'y have nothing against him or people that want to discuss what he's used. His super-fans have been able to re-create his tones even with him telling tall tales about the origins of his sound.
