Re: Anything sound like a Les Paul but feel like a Fender?
I had a prs at one point. Ended up trading it. Honestly, i'm in a dif boat than you. I find i like the sound of a strat and the feel of a les paul. Honestly, though, i will tell you --- i played a LP standard (which i had no complaints with) next to a prs pauls guitar on a clean channel, and i will tell you that to my ears, the "pauls guitar" seemed to have more resonance and overtones, in comparison. With that being said, i was never way impressed with the mildly over driven or the fully saturated tones of the "pauls guitar," which is why i ultimately decided to trade it. Feelwise though, the neck on the model i used to own seemed rounder than a strat and more like LP shapewise but was considerably less chunky (sorry i don't know what exact neck profile it was, off the top of my head. i find classifying the the shapes individually a bit confusing)
Like i said though, our ears may be dif from eachother because i love the sounds of strats and feel of a les paul. So, take my opinion with a grain of salt.
