Make one yourself? Pay a custom shop to make you one? Find someone parting out a sig guitar? Those are about your only options...

Buy a BC Rich Beast. Buy a BC Rich Warlock. Cut them in half and glue the two pieces together from each guitar. You'll have an MTM and a Warbeast.

It looks like the low end MTM model is a bolt on, you could always buy it and sell the neck. Not sure what necks would fit it as a replacement.

Is it illegal in your neck of the woods to buy a sig guitar and play other styles of music with it?
otherwise I can't at all understand why you would like a guitar but not want to buy it.

OK I can't get my head around this. I love the Tom Delonge Stratocaster but I am in no way a Blink 182 fan. I also love the The Chad Kroeger "Blackwater" Les Paul with the piezo and the trans black flame. However, you could never drag me into a Nickelback concert. It is not as if you need to like the signature artist or even play the same style of music as them to own their signature guitar. Case in point I doubt Steve Jones from The Sex Pistols and Mick Jones from The Clash were huge Les Paul and Mary Ford fans.

yea....i suppose i could just change out pups and bridge and it wouldnt really be considered a mick thomson sig model anymore

Re: anyway to get a mick thomson signature guitar body?

because i am no slipknot fan, i just like the body style, i feel it looks cool, but i dont like sd blackouts or ibanez edge tremolo, i want my own guitar not someones overpriced sig model

Re: anyway to get a mick thomson signature guitar body?

Re: anyway to get a mick thomson signature guitar body?

well im a metal player...so i would put a floyd or get my local guitar store to put one in since its a pain... and i would probably put a sh6 in bridge and sh2 in neck... i like metal but not so much slipknot, there overrated and mick is not a skilled player watsoever

Re: anyway to get a mick thomson signature guitar body?

yes but the sig model i found has like the seven inlays and i just want a normal guitar with that body style...

Re: anyway to get a mick thomson signature guitar body?

Ok I should be the one to say it. The MTM bridge is an Ibanez trem locking bridge that is PERMANENTLY shut down. There is no trem block rout or claw. He just likes the bridge for the feel, stability, and tone. This isn't like the Clapton strat where you can block and unblock it. It's not even like a normal Ibanez where you can just swap in different kinds of whammy bridges. It just... is.

hmmm, you don't even need to change the pickups, they're the nearest pickup to the dimebucker, actually booth had a similar feel and clarity, EMTY is less harsh and higher output active, and Dimebucker is harsher, bit less output than the EMTY, for metal, you'll only gonna get rid of the inlays, a black permanent marker and a set of inlay-stickers and you're done, and about the tremolo, if you really want it, you better option is a kahler or the new floyd rose (the one that retrofits gibson style guitars), 'cause the original floyd will be a mess and half of installation
