Are all PRS guitars...

Evening all!

Does anybody know if the PRS Model 305 is manufactured in the US?
I have my eye on this absolutely gorgeous sounding and looking guitar and I couldn't see on it anywhere a country of manufacture.

I know some (all?) of the PRS SE models are manufactured in Korea and I was just curious about the 305.

Appreciate any help..

Sweet. Those are really nice guitars. A buddy of mine has a 513 that is just incredible. I've played it a few times and have been blown away by it. I think the only difference between the 305 and 513 is pickup configuration (and the additional switch and wiring of course).

Re: Are all PRS guitars...

I love a PRS.

Everyone who geeks out on guitars seems to overlook them for not being cool & tough enough or something, because they're not 60 years old.

Every PRS I've ever picked up, felt like it was built to outlast me, and played like a motherf*cker.

My #1 guitar is a PRS SE, Made in Korea, that outplays all my MIA guitars. It's just got that attention to detail that means you're never going to have to f*ck with it.

Yep.

I've had my Gibsons (standard and custom shop), I've even had some fancier guitars like Don Grosh and Collings, but my PRS are "it". They're built like nothing else, they stay in tune, feel great with the wide/fat neck profile and sing with a pickup change. My Hollowbody Spruce is the guitar that motivates me to keep playing every day and my keeper McCarty is the first doublecut guitar that had the lower mids of a Les Paul that I've ever owned (and I've owned similar brands like Hamer USA's stuff).

They might not be "cool" right now, but make no mistake about it, they're quality instruments that are bound to be as big as Fender or Gibson in the future.

I thought PRS guitars were fairly popular.

Re: Are all PRS guitars...

I thought PRS guitars were fairly popular.

They're popular on stage, with guitarists who gig every day or week and need a low-maintenance guitar that will deliver every time , but they seem to have less popularity on guitar nerd forums, because a lot of folks are hung up on rehashing the old time guitars 1000 times.

Funny, because PRS guitars are not at all a great departure from those designs.

I think most people who do not like them are baffled at how good of an idea they are, in general. A Made in the USA guitar that combines everything you love and nothing you hate, at a price point between F-word and G-word.

Huh. Why didn't I think of that?
