Re: Are you loyal to a brand when it comes to pedals?
I've become very brand loyal over the last couple of years. Not that there isn't other stuff out there that is good, just something I wanted to do since I know what I like for me. It's not just pedals, but everything. As of right now I exclusively play
Gibson Les Pauls
Marshall Amps
Celestion English made speakers
Fulltone Pedals
Seymour Duncan pickups
George L cables
I have sold everything I had that didn't conform to those lines. The only thing I kept was a DiMarzio PAF that Jerry gave me, and that's just because it was a gift for Dixie.
The only thing I see buying in the future, other than more Fulltone stuff, would be the new Seymour Duncan Made in USA line. Depending on the new price point (if they keep the prices comparable to other quality US manufacturers, like FT) I'll most likely buy one of each, try em' and stick em' back to sit on.
Re: Are you loyal to a brand when it comes to pedals?
There are some brands I stay away from, and others I tend to favor a little, but aside from that I don't have much brand loyalty when it comes to pedals. It's all about who makes a good pedal for the kind of money I want to spend. When I can, I do like to start with the "original" first, before deciding I should buy somebody's clone of it instead.
Re: Are you loyal to a brand when it comes to pedals?
Somehow I ended up with a lot of hardwire pedals: Delay, Reverb, Tuner. Not consciously, but when I was shopping for those types of pedals the features, reviews, price of hardwire always seemed to put them on top.
