I use solid bodies and chambered bodies in my guitar builds and they are absolutely different. Just as a solid body Telecaster is way different than a Thinline. A chambered body Les Paul is different than the solid body.

I don't think anybody has said anything contrary to this.

Hey, bottom line...it's your guitar and you can rationalize anything that you care to do to it. And you can hear it anyway you want to as well. If you think the aerator hole makes it sound better, more power to you.

Like I said...It's your guitar.

Wish you could hear it for yourself. When it is not plugged in and you hit the strings with your ear next to the screen, you can not only hear the sound waves pumping out, you can also slightly feel the sound pressure. I found it rather interesting.

I would probably fill all of the holes in the top with dowels, fill the engravings with putty, sand it down, re-drill controls and re-finish.

Guys, I have a lawsuit era Elektra and it has an arched ply top that leaves a gap between the top and body. It's possible his air vent thing really is doing something.

Absolutely, I do what I do..........and while the rest of 'em whine........I'll be doing just fine. If you haven't got the balls to step out beyond the normalcy of everyone else........well, i can't help you. I mod everything to how I want it or to perform to my expectations. Unless the guitar belongs to someone else.
