Arion tubulator :)

Re: Arion tubulator :)

Thanks. I guess the other thing to ask is (for guys with two like adlibmusic) do they all sound a little different? Cheapo pedals usually have loose tolerance components. So for the price, since the shipping will be the same for one or two, does it make sense to buy two in case one is a "good one"?

Also since I'll probably buy one (or some) soon, does anyone overseas in hard to reach countries want one (or some)? I would gladly donate the buy/pack/ship efforts if you'll pay shipping.

Thanks for the soundclip Adlib. Excellent work! Very clean playing and it shows exactly what two of these can do for a player. I'm one of those guys that always wants more distortion, so I usually have mine cranked. Anyone else note the nice tubey distortion this baby produces in the clip? That's precisely how mine sounds too.

How do you feel the plastic housing will hold up? To be honest this is one thing that keeps from trying one of these. Just wondering...

The housing doesn't look all that sturdy, but it holds up pretty well from all reports. Most are amazed that the pedals live as long as they do. Besides... Whaddaya expect for $13? Buy two and you still come out cheaper than most cheap dirt boxes cost.

Re: Arion tubulator :)

Sorry to resurrect this older thread, but I just got my Tubulators today. Man they're as good as everyone says. Sure enough, there's a JRC4558D inside, and for $13 I'd like to buy a whole warehouse full of them. Stacking two together is great, too. There's tons of room under the footpedal for doing a true bypass mod, too. I'm considering making a custom chassis to house two of these with true bypass on each. They are quiet, too. That was the ultimate plus. I'll always carry one in the ole gig bag. It's like a spare set of strings at this point, and not really that much more expensive.
