Even without a voucher, the seasonal special offer is a lot for the money.

If only they would do similar deals on the MiniBrute!

They were running a special on the MiniBrute ... but I don't know if it extended past Crimbo...

Re: ARTURIA PSA: Amazing deal on V Collection 4 if you are an Arturia owner!

I just ordered a set of custom Mahogany side panels for my minibrute from GMUSynths. Its gonna look pretty slick. Some really great hardware out now though. I picked up a Moog Mother 32 and a Korg Minilogue to go with my Blue Lantern Modular and the Minibrute. Lots of real analog now. I have a second Moog Mother 32 backordered through Sweetwater too. Gonna take a few months until it comes in, but have two tier stand to setup both Mother 32's on order also. I can patch in and out of the modular and send cv and gate from Moog sequencer to the Minibrute. Still got my ipad for softsynths but haven't turned on the actual computer for a good long time now. All sequencing of hardware done by my Roland MV8800.

Arturia needs to come out with more on iOS!

Nice! Mother-32 is on my list, but the new Korg may be purchased first.
The VERY next item on my hit list is a Beatstep Pro, as it will be an integral part of my 2016 gigging rig.

The Beatstep Pro is on my wishlist too. Pretty amazing sequencer. Version 1.3 added some new features to it too. I almost bought the one at Sam Ash sitting there, but had to leave a little emergency buffer of funds until next check so it had to wait. Pretty reasonably priced for everything it does.

Re: ARTURIA PSA: Amazing deal on V Collection 4 if you are an Arturia owner!

I have a Beatstep and it's amazing, but the Pro blows the doors off of it. It is easily as powerful as any sequencer 5x the price. The latest firmware with sequence chaining cinched it for me.

I will be using it for ensemble sequencing with my JV1080. I am pretty stoked, actually -- last night I wote my first Performance patch for the 1080 and ran through a test sequence of one of the songs. I played live guitar and the 1080 provided bass, drums, and synths. Sounds great!!

The synth line sounded a little weak, so I was able to replicate the sound on one part to another part, change the pitch, and panned them ... sounds massive now!

Since the 1080 has multiple outputs, I can assign each group to its own dedicated output for external mixing and effects. Tonight's test will be to take the bass output and process it through my reamp/mxr bass di+ and Philosopher's tone to see how it sounds.

My only caveat is that the drums in Performance mode sound good, but not great. Gonna have to see if there was a Rythm-only expansion card (only have one slot left!).

I will be making a video of the rig in action over the weekend -- will give me something to do during the snow storm! :)

SR-JV80-10 Bass & Drums.

The same sound set was later integrated into the SRX expansion board series.

^ Thanks, I actually found that last night. Seems to be going for $50-75 on Ebay. Shall be ordering it this week! :)

The original Spectrasonics "Bass Legends" sounds can be obtained in AKAI S-1000 and Roland S-760 formats. They are also lurking in the Legacy corner of Omnisphere.
