Attenuation in multi-amp setups?

I run a 3 amp setup (constant, not switched) and would like to move to using attenuation so that I can crank the amps to get that sweet output tube compression going, while maintaining a workable stage volume. For this, using attenuation would be key. Except I'd really like to not have to spend $1000 on attenuators just to do this.

I've done some reading/sampling on the Hot Plate, Ultimate Attenuator, Richter Control and Weber Mass units. Of these, as near as I can tell, the Weber seems to be the only one that offers a stereo option. Unfortunately, from the comments I've read from those trying them out, the Weber almost never wins out in a comparison with the aforementioned attenuators (with the Richters getting the highest marks).

So is there something I'm missing here? Do these companies, indeed, offer multi amp units, or do I just need to bite the bullet and buy three separate attenuation units?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Attenuation in multi-amp setups?

I've read plenty of great reviews of the Weber Mass, so I wouldn't write it off. I've no idea about its multi-amp capabilities though.

I have a THD Hot Plate and it certainly only has one amp input. I've not heard of a THD with multi-amp capability.

But here's a bump :)

Thanks for your input, and the bump, LOL. I just don't know what I'm-a-gonna do! I'll figger something out though...
